I've just never had a variable/field collision using Hungarian notation, and all I could think was "If I had renamed the column when I imported it, I wouldn't have had to go through this..."
I use hungarian notation and mdots all the time. Best combination of speed, reliability.Readability is not reduced in only the most insignificant way. Of course, I can read code with or without the mdot. There are far more serious ways to reduce readability. MDot hurts no one and costs nothing, prevents such conflicts and gives a small speed boost.
