None of us is going to be surprised if Eric is the next Microsoft CEO, but I think it would be a mistake to think he will keep FoxPro alive. Sure, he was the head honcho of the VFP 3 development project, but that wasn't where he came from. It was the project where he proved he could do other things, if you want to look at it that way. It was just one (brilliant) bullet point on his resume. And that was all more than 10 years ago. Ancient history in Microsoft-years.

>Microsoft is well aware of the capabilities of VFP in the small business area. Remember where Eric Rudder came from, his current position, and where he is supposed to be heading. There is no "see the light" that is going to happen.

>>Maybe you know what's going on internally at Microsoft, but most of us don't and some of us see Microsoft paying a tad more attention recently to the SMALL BUSINESS end of things. Maybe, just maybe, Microsoft could "see the light" if they were helped to. To shut it off without even trying is the ultimate in defeatism if you ask me.

>>I take it that if Microsoft actually does it you won't be using it.
