Well... as far back as I can remember, politically speaking -- from the early 80s on -- the GOP just seems to be more organized and mostly refuses to cannibalize its own candidates. You find that most of the time, they save their rhetoric and venom for the Dems. McCain has a shot... his biggest problem is his temper. I could totally picture him pulling a Dole and telling someone (on camera) to go back to his cave.

The ones who speak their minds honestly and are their own men, like Dole and McCain, go down in flames. Imagine that. In this country you just don't get away with fighting the money.
