I think Marcia is referring to a scenario mentioned in a blog about this problem (see Marcia's other message). It mentions that when the grid is not in natural order then "recordsource = ''" won't work.

My grid is in natural order so I don't understand why it doesn't work, something happens when subclassing thru different levels.
