Do you have any mapped network drives that are NOT available at the time you open your dlg? If so you will have to wait the standard network timeout period. I had the same issue on a single client box and removing the mapp when it was not in use fixed the issue. Otherwise, the post in this thread that talks about deselecting auto search for network... seems like the best idea.

When you pull up a dialog box to switch directories, the box pops up quick, but when you click in the "look in" part or click the little arrow to switch to a different directory, it takes like about a whole minute before it pulls it up to switch. If you pick one you can then change to others doing it again and it is ok, but when you have not done it for a period of time, it does the delay again. Does anyone know why this does this and anything I can set to make it quit doing this?
