>>Oh for the days when we used to go to Boy Scouts wearing a sheath knife!
>
>I can remember a time in public school (grades 1-7 at the time) when many of us tried to out-do each other with the biggest knife in the biggest sheath and no one in the school had a problem with that. We had a couple of "games" we played with them in the school yard too. I think it was grade 5, maybe 6.
>In grade 1 or 2 some of us were fond of wearing our Hop Along Cassidy or Davey Crockett holsters to school too. Again no problem.

And that was during the DAWNING of the Age of Aquarius. What happened to it? It got eclipsed by the Cancer of modern violence. Why is life cheaper than then?

Once on leaving the scout meeting and waiting for the bus, a passing kid saw my sheath-knife, pulled his out, and offered me a knife fight. I didn't know WHAT to do - he was insistant. Do I just let him stick me or do I defend myself with the knife? Luckily a passing man shooed the kid off. Nowadays I reckon that man would be putting himself in harm's way in a similar situation.
- Whoever said that women are the weaker sex never tried to wrest the bedclothes off one in the middle of the night
- Worry is the interest you pay, in advance, for a loan that you may never need to take out.
