Yes, but selected 'experts', who conform to their own politically slanted beliefs. Look at the treatment "global warming" gets in your Administration as an example. Here, sometimes, the "experts" include party hacks disguised as experts.

I agree that their (Supreme Court Justices) political beliefs can slant their opinions, but at a much different level than me or you or other average lawyers. I certainly was impressed by Judge Alito during his hearings, even knowing his political bent is opposite to mine.
I certainly, and without reservation, prefer to have a handful of people very learned in the field making decisions that can affect the freedom of myself and my family than politicians who are bought as a matter of course in their day-to-day work.
