I'd highly recommend SDT. It's easy to use and can save you a great deal of headaches. Some of the frameworks integrate with SDT, some have their own. The bottom line is that the VFP database designer and view designers will actually let you get your database fouled up. SDT solves the shortcomings of the native tools.

My main intention to start with a Framework is to see how VFP experts put all things together to build a VFP application.
