>The payment file gets added to but SOMETIMES the receivable file does not get updated.

This usually indicates a corrupted table. The table header is corrupted in such a way (the record count bytes are incorrect) that it opens fine but new records aren't properly added.

One solution is to PACK the table so a new table is created with a new header.
