>There's an important thing to note about CodeMine. It uses a proprietary FLL (VFP version of a DLL) that integrates with VFP to add functionality. However, I find this a big selling point against CodeMine. One thing is that it ties you to a specific version of VFP, so you can't upgrade to the next version of VFP without upgrading CodeMine. With the frameworks built on pure VFP code, you have no such limitation.

>>Hi,
>>Thanks for your summary!

To be frank, base on my findings, I will only choose either VPME or Visual Extend.
Of course I will add more tools after the framework.

I have no way to get a demo for VMP and Visual FoxExpress so I also exclude them. I really don't understand how are they going to get newcomer (like me) without test drive version. At least in my case, no matter how many specs/features listing, docs, user's comments (on how good the product is), I still find it hard to determine whether a product suits me without trying it first...

Btw, I am also a newbie to UT, and I find it hard to operate the message area. I am a subscriber to more than 40 tech related forums, may be I am too much stuck with the almost universal standard UI of web forum...
If anyone would kindly tell me:
1) How do I get a list of all categories directly under "Visual FoxPro"?
2) In a thread started by me (like this one), how do I get email notification if A replies to someone else say B (not me)?
3) Is a UTMag.com picture on the right top corner considered a advertisement banner? I have no way to get rid of it.
