I don't know what you mean with "attractive look of checkbox", but in VFP you have the same or more options to personalize, and more visible properties of checkbox than with other programing languages i know (and this includes VB).
Did you try change the font, style, special effect, picture, forecolor, anchor, backstyle, ... or other properties of that object?
