From Kevin Cully, sponsor of Fox Forward 2006 . . .
Greetings!
We have heard from many people who are excited about the Fox Forward conference over the last couple of months. We're still looking for great speakers and we're hoping that you will consider submitting a proposal for a presentation.
We would really appreciate you to considering this conference for a couple of reasons:
1 - We are trying to develop a different scenario for VFP conferences. We are looking at the open source model for conferences - also Code Camps. We are aiming to provide the least expensive conference for developers that we possibly can. One of our mottoes: big content, little fluff.
2 - We want to give "new blood" a chance, much like Whil Hentzen has done for many conferences. We understand that conferences frequently receive feedback from attendees that say they want to see new presentations. We hope to provide an outlet for speakers that are first timers, topics that are grounded in real world applications, and perhaps a few "off the wall" topics. If it's a technical presentation, from a FoxPro perspective, we'd love to hear from you!
3 - Although we welcome attendees from all over the world, we kind of consider this a "regional conference". There is no conference on this side of North America and we intend to fill that gap.
We are excited about the Fox Forward conference and we hope that you are too. If you love FoxPro as we do, and want to see our community grow and flourish, then we're looking for you.
Our deadline for speakers is just a short 9 days away. Consider submitting your topic by filling out our online form:
