A long time ago I created a reporting system FPW2.6 that pulled data out of dBase IV tables and we never had any problems.

From a posting made here awhile ago it seems like things are in flux at Borland so I'm not sure where to tell you check. You might be able to google or even ebay to find a copy for cheap.
