Corruption of the data in the memo field is a known possibility. Most are advised not to store the picture data in a memo field. Rather, store the file name in a field - not a memo field and access the BMP files directly. You're saying this is working on some machines and not on others? If so, then I'd look into some kind of registry problem on the misbehaving machines.
