Hi all,
I'm learning master pages and having this problem:
I create a master page, try to change (in the property window) the ID of the default ContentPlaceHolder VS automatically add to the master page, which is by default named "ContentPlaceHolder1", but when the cursor leave the textbox, the ID come back to be "ContentPlaceHolder1".
This happens for the master pages and all controls added to the ContentPlaceHolder for the pages created on the master pages.
It seems that controls IDs (textbox, buttons, ecc.) must be the default that VS give them! (button1, textbox1) and I can't change it's name.
But if I change the ID in the Source View, than the ID is changed!
Is this a feature? Must I change the controls name in the source view?

thanks

Franco
