It's still not working in append mode. It's like the appended record doesn't really exist. I select append mode, and it adds one record with the correct key. Then I push the down arrow to try and put in another and I can't go down. If I go up, then down, it replaces the las record with a new one.

Another oddity: If I choose append mode, it appends the one record. If I then go to the command window and append, it overwrites that record. _But_ and subsequent appends in the command window work properly.

This is really strange.
