>>>Could be - but I could find no reference on snopes.com, nor Google references to the story I read - could go either way, I guess ...

>>I heard it long ago, so it may be a legend, but then urban legend doesn't really mean it didn't happen :).

>>We have another one, about a guy closely following the car in front of him, because its driver seemed to know where he's going. After a while, the front car stops, and they both get out of the cars.

>Here is another one that a college buddy insisted was true. (He said it happened to a friend of his, but I suspected it was himself). He said his friend was driving across the Golden Gate Bridge when he realized a police car was behind him with the lights on, telling him to pull over. He did and while the policeman got out of his unit and walked up to the guy's car, he got his story straight. He had dropped some acid so wasn't sure exactly how fast he had been going. Or much of anything else. He decided to say he was going 5 mph over the speed limit. Let's say the speed limit on the bridge is 35 mph (I don't remember). The conversation:
>
>Officer: How fast do you think you were going there?
>Motorist: It couldn't have been more than 40.
>Officer: Why don't you just step out of your car. You were going 7 mph.

LOL
