I used code like this recently and it works ok:

   _screen.Top = -20000
   _screen.Left = -20000
   _screen.Visible = .t.

   pcTableName = getfile( "dbf" )

   _screen.Visible = .f.
   _screen.Top = 0
   _screen.Left = 0
