Thanks for your insight, Mike. Unfortunately, company policy requires development without the use of 3rd party products. But I understand and agree with you observation. I initially sought to solve this without having to select from the internal tables as I also wanted to avoid having to pass them "twice". With the behavior of the grid class (losing it's methods), Marcia's solution was the one that fit the bill.
