This is truly bizarre. But I believe the program is now working properly. The calling form was subclassed from a baseclass form that has "Sets" in the load...set deleted, set exact, etc.

I wanted to see if running the parents load was causing the problem, so I put "nodefault" in the subclass. It didn't make a difference, so I clicked on the method to reset it to default, empty. The program now runs correctly.

>I'm not quite clear here, Perry; you use 2 forms to delete the rec, flipping between them? You have the table in the DE of the calling form but the subord form only carries the selected cursor?
>
>You saying that the subord form, after one rec's been deleted, should only show the remaining 2? But it has its own "virtual" dataset provided when you called it. If you delete the rec in the parent form this shouldn't make any difference in the subord.
>
>Maybe you need to to do ReQUery, or refresh on a grid on which you may be displaying them in the subord form?
>Maybe you need to resubmit the dataset to the subord table.

>>No. There are 3 records selected. Then I select 1, return to the calling form passing the id of the record I selected. The calling form displays and acceptance message, and if approved deletes the record. If I then click the delete button again, it should show the remaining 2 records that have not been deleted yet.
>>
>>There is some setting or something else that I'm missing, as I can click another button after deleting, then go back to delete and the 2 records will correctly show.
>>
>>>If you have Set deleted on then dleeted records are not detected by the deleted() fn. Is this the case?

If I select one of records for deletion, then click the button to attempt to delete another one, the tally from the above query is 0 records. But the other 2 records not deleted should be displayed. If I click the button again, the display will look like I expect.
