Frank and I have committed to MM.Net as our first .Net framework; xCase2VPM V2 (PSP4VPM, which consists of PSP4xCase and PSPLib4VPM) will have a UI written in MM.Net, hitting against a VPM9.1 COM object: eating our own dogfood. The next phase will be MM.Net applications using PSP4xCase (same version UI and DD as PSP4VPM), using PSP4MM.Net (our subclasses of MM.Net, which has the hooks we need to control UI and business object creating at runtime through metadata, which is our bent), still hitting against a VPME9.1 COM object. The final phase will be MM.Net applications using the same PSP4xCase DD, but with triggers translated into Python (IronPython), using a .Net data engine. All the above use Infragistics NetAdvantage Suite for controls.

The Malaysia folks would like to get one of us there to do some training, but our business model no longer entertains future profits, based on past experience. ;) So we'll see what happens with that.

We've also changed our pricing to a subscription model: you get all our videos, Groove support, and products and libraries for $495/year per developer. Although if you were to work with the IronPython folks to make creating IDE add-ins like builders as easy in .Net as it is in VFP, I would personally arrange a very deep discount for your company. (Besides, it would give you something to do while you waited for permits...)

best of luck,

Hank
