>>I have a formA that runs 3 timers. This formA also lauches other forms for the purpose of editing tables. FormA monitors telephone activity so the timers need to stay running. Except, timers do things like wipe out highlighted text, jumble formatted text while entering it, cause dropdown cbos to not function at all, among other irritating childlike behaviors. What's a mother to do? (Besides turning them off)

Actually, it doesn't matter where the timers are in the program, they have the same adverse effect even if they are a member of oApp. The only solution I have found so far is to buffer the phone data and turn off the timers while editing records. I ran into this several months ago when someone asked if I could do animation on a form. You can do it with a timer but it disrupts normal operation because the timer is firing too quickly. I guess I was hoping there would be a more elegant solution :'(
