>In Thread 1024963 Message 1024969 Sergey was telling Jim Nelson to make sure the “Start In” field in the shortcuts is populated with the application directory in order to prevent FOXUSER.DBF and FOXUSER.FPT from appearing on the desktop during an InstallShield Express installation. I’m having the same problem and I’ve been looking for this “Start In” field. I can’t find it and I can’t locate any mention of it in the documentation. I’m using InstallShield Express, Version 4.0, Service Pack 1. Can anyone, especially Sergey, help me out with this? (It’s probably a little early in the morning for Sergey.) I’d appreciate it.
Make sure you not copy the EXE on Desktop but create a shortcut to it. If you are creating RightCLick on Shortcut that is on Desktop, Select Properties from menu. "Start In' is in Shortcut Tab. Also in Your InstallShield project go to there where you Set the Shortcuts for your application, Change Working Folder (or something similar) to INSTALLDIR.
