I need this because my application has 200+ forms with multiple pages and controls and events can fire at any time such as a controls mousemove event or a forms keypress event. Many events don't force a particular alias but expect the last one which was programaticly set to be the correct one. This code has been working fine for years with all kinds of other controls besides the grid such as the List control. As far as I can tell all other controls leave the current alias alone.

I need to prevent this automatic grid behavior or find a way to make sure that if the grid changes the current alias from something else to its own recordsource, then I wan't to reset it back imediately before another controls event fires and acts on the wrong alias.

Anyone else has an Idea on how to do this?
