What I meant is to move processing in the separate DS. The form should have private DS, it's correct, but the processing should be done in its own session. That was our solution, but in our case form with grid called some complex procedures...

I'm not sure if indeed exists a method to check, when alias switches to grid. I'm afraid, there is no way to test it.

I know from experience that grid wants to keep its own alias when focus is on the grid. I don't think there is a way to prevent it.
