Sergey,

This is a very belated response to your reply to my posting.

I was drawn away from that project, and now I am back. And finally addressing the question of access to my VFP version 9 database from my Visual C++ MFC-based application.

I am trying to implement your suggestion that I use OLE DB to connect to the database. I am using the ADO ActiveX control. When I set up a connect string in the VC++ dialog editor and test it, I can populate the grid that is attached to the ADO control. However, when I run my program, I keep getting an error when CDatabase::Connect() tries to connect to the database. It looks to me like the MFC CDatabase class assumes an ODBC connection. Although I may be wrong, since this is quite difficult to trace.

Can you give me some guidance as to how to get my MFC-based VC++ program to connect to my VFP database.

Thanks,
Jim
