The man did what he thought he needed to do to sever his direct involvement with Haliburton as well as his financial interests in it. As far as I'm concerned, what ties he has left with the company are not strong enough to risk influence-peddling charges.

Good morning Dan;

My take on this is that if Cheney was found breaking the law, due to his association and dealings with Haliburton, a few of those left wing Commies, Terrorist Supporters, liberals, and Democrats, would complain for a few days. Then the entire matter would be dropped and it would be business as usual. People would be upset all over the nation but the Media would not mention it after the first week or two.

You get to a point where you just feel indifferent to everything that is going on in government. You have no control and it does not help to have an opinion. We should just let our politicians do whatever they please as they “see the big picture”.

I do not like to suggest that Cheney or anyone else did something wrong. I would like to see evidence or hear from an authority that such evidence exists. When you hear about the corruption going on with the "rebuilding of Iraq", no bid contracts and other bits of information, you could well associate these events with, “something smells – and it ain’t good”! :)

I respect you and your opinion. It is good to have diverse opinions on any subject matter. It is good food for thought! If we all had the same opinion we would be little more then sheep! :)

Tom
