Ummm, I fail to see the connection. Does Active VFP even use MSDTC?

I'm using the browser on the server machine, so it's accessing localhost - no remote involved at all.

Network Access under MSDTC/Security isn't enabled on this server so, if it were needed, it would never work. But it does sometimes work if I play with the access permissions/directory security account. I just can't get it to work reliably.

I've tried adding the anonymous user to a security group that has been assigned to the local drive and the web files drive, and that makes no difference.

One suggestion was to enable object access failure auditing for the anonymous account, and I turned that on but don't get any failures when accessing my AVFP app. As a test, I set up a html page and removed the access permissions for the anonymous account, and if I browse to that page, I get an access failure in the event log.
