It looks like you did create the deployment correctly. I recommend checking the web.config file because it could be pointing to an old version of MM .NET assemblies (there were instructions in the MM.NET 2.0 What's New Guide that talked about updating your web.config file to point to the new assemblies). You can either install the MM .NET assemblies in the GAC on your deployment machine or copy them to the bin folder.
