Good....some SHOULD find that sentence provocative. It's intended to be.

So why do you ask me for evidence if you know that's how you behave.

It's directed right between the eyes of those who think ADO.NET is weak, those who love to include ".NOT" in their vocabulary, and those who have posted mis-statements on .NET that go beyond simple errors of omission.

But you made the statement in response to a point about local datasets- my point. According to you, good developers learn how to overcome the issue and move on. I'm not sure how that is supposed to be directed at the targets you nominate above- it seems more directed at those making points about autospanning and local datasets.

As I said, perhaps you need to review the original discussion. Some of us put quite a lot of work into comparing and contrasting these important matters.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
-- Shakespeare: Coriolanus, Act 1, scene 1
