Hi Viv
>Although this could be used to read the XML into VFP you'd still end up writing your own VFP 'engine' for the second part of the job (generating the HTML output). I'm suggesting using the inbuild MSXML XSL transformation rather than VFP to generate the HTML.
I am sorry about being so slow but I a total fresher here. I accept you suggestions on both the points, ie. loading and transform using xsl. But as my ltd. knowledge goes, I understand the xsl file to be like some kind of old FP format file to configure the browse window. But now this file contains not only tags for records (the actual text) but also styles all in the same file and in a layered manner, simply put
< some other tag > ... < / some other tag >
< some other tag > ... < / some other tag >
< style > P1... < / style >
< style > P2... < / style >
< style > P3... < / style >
< more tag > ... < / more tag >
< more tag > ... < / more tag >
< content > Text. P1.. < / content >
< content > Text. P2.. < / content >
< content > Text. P1.. < / content >
< content > Text. P3.. < / content >
< content > Text. P1.. < / content >
how can a possible xsl file look for this kind of xml?
