Hi,
I think we're slipping cogs on this one. Anyway, we're agreed that SQLServer can make a coherent backup of an active database without third party additions, right?

>I think that is what I have been talking about. You have to tell MSSql how and when to backup. The only other backup, per say, that I know of is the transaction log. I have not worked with SQL 2005 so it may have more. I do most of my work with Sybase ASA database and it works a little different.
