>>>I am dead serious. The only difference between Christian fundamentalism and Islamic fundamentalism is the deity being worshipped. That and the degree of control the most popular religion has over the government, a gap the fervent wing of the Republican party is trying to close here.

>>Hi Mike..
>>
>>Christian fundamentalism means to follow the holy bible.. I'm Christian fundamentalism and for sure I can tell you.. Jesus talks about to pray and LOVE our enemies.. So, if fundamentalism means to run the bible exactly what Jesus wrote.. So, only pray and love some Islam and other people will have from a Cristian..
>>
>>But, this subject (of trial) doesn't have anything to do with religiosity.. We are talking about the use of religion to gain mass control..

>Jesus did not write the Bible. It was put down in written form decades and in some cases centuries after his death. Did you ever play the game Telephone? A group of friends sit in a circle and the first person whispers something into the ear of the person to his or her left. That person whispers it on to the next person, and so on. By the time it comes back around it is not the same message at all. And that happens in the course of maybe a minute, not centuries. There is absolutely no rational reason to accept these writings as historical fact. To me the Bible is an excellent collection of parables. It contains some of the most beautiful writing ever. But I do not give it much credence as history.

hehe.. it is up to you to believe on it.. Your decision, your right..

Be Sure.. As a cristian I'll not follow any of your basic rights.. <g>

>I do not have a problem with anyone's religious beliefs. I really don't. Where I have a problem is when attempts are made to ram them down my throat, as though they are the only "true" religious beliefs. They are not. That POV directly contradicts the principles this country was founded on.

So am I.. But, as a Jesus follower I only tried to clarify some points on what exactly an authentic phanatic for Jesus can do.. Love, love, love and pray.. In the name of Jesus this is the most far that we can do.. No religoius war, invasion, arrest, etc.. Can be done in the name of Jesus.. If you sometime face anyone trying to kill, invade, etc.. Be sure, he even can tell (as Bush) I'm here to defend Jesus.. But, the fact is The human race only does this kind of stuff to defend his own policital/financial needs...
