I think we may have had the same customers! :o) I had some customers on Fort Bragg who were legally blind.

>>>I stick to 800x600.
>>>
>>>I have access to a couple of websites for non-tech users (just like my clients), and the server logs say 800x600 is still prevalent enough I have to support it. I'd imagine the ceiling could be lifted for a bunch of tech-users, but then there are the vision-impaired you must account for.

>>We had a user who had poor eyesight. Her problem was "solved" when her boss bought her a 21" screen (monitor). She has since moved to a 17" LCD and is very happy with that.
>>The application uses 1024x768 as standard. But I don't blame people with sticking to 800x600 at this time.

>Supporting the vision-impaired isn't easy. When I worked for the Federal Gov't, I reported directly to two different bosses. Both were color blind, but in completely opposite directions. Finding color schemes both could see (FPD/FPW era) was a BEAR! <g>

>One was actually legally blind. He had one of the first 21" monitors made, and even at that he'd run Win3.x in the lowest possible resolution, with the Hot Dog Stand color scheme, and sit with his glasses almost touching the screen. Learning to design forms that respected his environment so that he could read them was an experience!
