We almost had it here in Ontario for those who practice Islam, but after a public outcry, the Ontario government finally said no to allowing it. Although, I'm sure had it been adopted, it would have been a much different species than lives in Afghanistan. It took some convincing, but the Ontario Government finally agreed with the general public that we should all be subject to the same legal system. The fact that they were even considering allowing it however, makes me wonder what they were smoking.
