>I have decided same as last year: Prague and Frankfurt. I'd like to be @ the Advisor devcon too, but the trip + the unavoidable extra expenses there are too much. Last time i went to the Palm Springs devcon in Rancho las Palmas which was great, but since i did already all the trip, i arranged myself a nice car and drove to Vegas before the devcon, then to New York after the devcon, so that devcon costed me over 10000$ :-)

I also was at the RLP devcon, I think it was in 2003. That was my 9th and last Advisor devcon, they have become too expensive compared to what you get in return, in my opinion. In 2004 I attended the DevTeach conference in Kansas City, that was a great conference, but my last in USA. That was also the last time I met Drew Speedie......!

Two weeks later, I had the honour to have Ken Levy with me in my car for a week, when we drove from Oslo to Stockholm, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Berlin and Prague for the VFP devcon. In Prague Ken's brother John David joined us when we drove further to Zurich in Switzerland via northern Italy, St. Moritz and Lichtenstein. In Zurich I said goobye to Ken and JD, and drove to Frankfurt to pick up my youngest son for a short father-and-son vacation.

Talking about RLP, I actually came back to stay there twice a few months after that devcon, since I spent two weeks in USA with my wife and youngest son. We rented a car in LA and drove to Palm Springs, where we spent three days, Then we drove to Phoenix where we stayed at Pointe Hilton Resorts at Squaw Peak, the place where I attended my first devcon in 199x-something. Then we drove to Granc Canyon, Las Vegas, San Francisco and back to Las Palmas to spend the last few days. One of my most memorable vacations.

A funny thing was that at my absolutely first devcon, at Pointe Hilton in Phoenix, I came a few days early since I had been on a two weeks business trip in the fasr east, and I knew nobody there. So when I saw some people with Foxpro T-shirts in the restaurant, I asked if I could join them. They were very friendly, and introduced themselves, but their names did not "ring any bells". I can guess that they thought I was kind of stupid when I asked them if they had any experience with VFP. It turned out that the guy I sat down next to, was Calvin Hsia, and on my other side I had Tamar Granor.
