Nope, just using my powers of observation. There is supposed to be a system of checks and balances in our govt to prevent exactly what is happening today. It makes me uncomfortable when even those who oppose some of whats happening say something like "this will never happen in America...."

But it is. You hear a few congressmen issuing opinions that differ with the white house, but nothing comes of it. I don't know what power the white house is holding over others right now, but it seems very powerful.
