I've got an application I'm in the middle of writing that consists of two different parts. One program takes a bunch of database files from an existing Clipper app (that are automatically transfered over into a shared drive) and merges them into several "master" files.
The second app is for running reports and analysis work. My "master" files are part of the DBC in this project.
The first app runs on our NT server as a scheduled event every night. The problem I have is that this app keeps dying with a "The database for table (master file) could not be opened. Would you like to locate the owning database..."
Do I really need to give the first app access to the second apps .DBC? Is there any other way around this? Maybe something like creating a intermediate file for my master files then copying them over the original "masters" How would I relink the new files to the "old" master file .DBC?
Ideas?
