>Whenever I see fly fishers on film they appear to be the worst fidgets in the world. Just spend the whole day casting and re-casting - never satisfied. It's a wonder the fish get a chance to bite!
Reminds me of a late friend that had gone on a fly-fishing trip with his dad. Apparently they had a fun weekend visiting together but didn't land anything. When asked about the trip, he always said "The fishing was great, but catching them sucked!"
I gave up on actually catching fish a long time ago. I just tie a great honkin' weight on the end, hurl it out, and spend the rest of the day nursing beer. Why ruin it for the fish?
