He also had a link to Rick's compile utility. I'm not at the point yet of utilizing this stuff (I've only just now begun researching what I need to do to migrate everything to 2.0), so I don't know how well any of this works, but perhaps you haven't stumbled across any of this yet.

Yes, I understand that automation could apply here with tools like Rick provides or something else. But, the biggest problem I faced recently was to keep the ability to have multiple Web Services running in the same directory. If I compile, they end up with App_Code.dll so this means you can only have one Web Service in the same directory. So, when I faced that, I adjusted to simply upload the vb files on the server and avoid using the App_Code.dll file. This has turned out to work very well and is much simpler to manage.
