Hello, a recent revision of our VFP 9 based application is running into trouble in Japan and China. Users in both countries have reported a range of problems when opening up out latest revision. The previous revision (also based on VFP9) worked well with databases in both countries.

The problem seems to arise when some DBF files are opened - but not all. One change we made in this software revision was to change all file references using variables from &filename to (filename) thus allowing spaces in file names. I am wondering if this could be contributing. The error 'Collating sequence PINYIN not found' is also reported but before this change, it was not.
