I noticed from the websites that they're written in roman alphabet. Now I know Cyprus was British but is that the case that, unlike the Greek mainland, Cyprus uses the Roman alphabet rather than the Greek. Something I'd never thought about. Maybe it's because, with Turkish Cypriots, you need a common alphabet? It's interesting that Malta has an Arabic-like language but used the Roman alphabet too (some words spelt with double-Xs)

BTW, with your name you don't appear to be Greek OR Turkish :-)
