Hi John,

The setup (distribution disks) procedure only needs to be run once on any given PC. Thereafter, all you need to do is replace the previous EXE with the new one. As far as the data goes, I assume you don't really want to replace the previous DBF's. You may need to replace the previous DBC with a new one if you've updated anything in it, such as changing table structures or adding a new table (other than a free table). But again, this does not involve re-running setup, just copy the new files. If a table's structure has changed, you can write a little one-time program to update the structure of the existing DBF without affecting its contents.

There are 3rd-party products that will create a "patch" file to update an EXE to a newer version. But, unless your EXE is huge or you're concerned about restricting updates to previously registered users, it's probably easier just to provide the updated EXE itself.
