Sometimes I think they deserve the regime they get - warlords, taliban, religeous intolerance and all. Then I think of the poor kids, esp. girls, who so desperately wanted to learn and were inhibited/prohibited by the blight that stamps itself on that sorry country. Then I think of UK troops that are replacing many of the US troops at the moment, and I think back to the massacres thereof back in the Empire days and, fearing for THEIR safety, I tend back towards to hell with them.
