Well, I'm a freelance programmer who works largely on my own. I have graduated to VFP by default over the years, after encountering the steep learning curve of transiting to the Object Oriented model

I am on the verge of launching an amazing software product for plantations, which has taken thousands of hours to develop. However, I remain highly insecure about the future of VFP in general, and fear that other languages from the MS stable are more popular, and my customers themselves might be critical about this fact.

I would like to be advised, firstly, about the future of VFP, and second, which might be the best replacement language for VFP, and finally since I cannot switch overnight to any language, how do I sell my product? (Are there any features of VFP which outright outweigh others?)
