What is "best" ?
For the employer, the best language is that one which allows usage of the lowest-priced resources (programmer) to create the desired data results. The unskilled programmer might be confused with Foxpro, and therefore think it is no good. And the boss -- if he does not understand Foxpro -- might believe if he reads that Clarion is best.
However,
If you define the task, whether to convert file format to another, or process a database, there is little which Foxpro cannot do.
Instead of believing the words of the marketing people, define the task and try both platforms and see.
