Hilmar already said a lot. Go take a look at Kevin McNeish's book. Now it's all free to look at on the net.

I'm sure that you'll be able to sell your app. no matter the language it was made with. One thing for sure though it's not a bad idea to start to look at .Net or whatever new technology you believe woll be the driving force in the next years. That way when it's really necessary to rewrite your app you'll be in a good position to do it.
