That's why I added the "AFAIK" in the end... because I wasn't sure what was the status of the story. Sounded like an urban legend, but then I remember hearing it on the radio back home back in the times when they still went seriously about reporting. Seems to be they didn't have the Web at the time to check their sources.

Still, as ms. Mikkelson would say, there's always a psychological reason why does an urban legend live.
