All formats work the same. After saving into an image the barcode is not readable while it looks fine. What I have found was that making a font size = 56 giving the barcode the ability to be read. But I still have a problem I dont know what to do about. It is a poor image quality. When I print it it looks like a scan from a cheap scanner. Fuzzy, no contrast, etc. Any idea?

I was going to suggest jpg compression artifacts, but I'm guessing you know all about that and this isn't what is happening to you. I don't have any other ideas at the moment...
