Greetings,

I wanted to let eveyone know what the problem was in this case. After much frustration I realized that the "retry/switch/cancel" dialog was indicating the 'fields.item' command was trying switch to some application other than VFP. So I started going down the processes and killing them one by one. When I killed the InetInfo.exe process the emails started immediately going out as expected.

So while I don't know what InetInfo sometimes trips this up at least I know now that killing the InetInfo.exe lets the emails go out. Sad part is that killing the InetInfo.exe of course takes down the webservices and they must be restarted. The good news is the emails are usually out in under two minutes so I can probably limp along until I figure out why Inetinfo.exe gets in the way.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!!

>I don't see anything that strikes me as WRONG in what you are doing. Here's the link to a blog article I did on this. It has some code in it that I have found to be reliable in VFP apps, you might give it a test run and see if it exhibits the same HANG behavior you are seeing. Maybe there is some difference between it and what you have that might provide a clue. Worth a shot anyways...
